One of the most prominent defining elements of Wright’s buildings are prairie style stained glass windows. Inspired by the architecture of Japan, which included screens in many of its buildings, Wright called his stained glass windows “light screens” because of their ability to filter and soften light, and bring vibrant, warm colors into the room.
