St. Dominic Priory (Denver, CO)
Kansas City Stained Glass was honored to work with St. Dominic Priory in Denver on a narrative-focused stained glass series illustrating the life of St. Dominic. The newly constructed chapel featured twelve large windows that originally held plain glass, and the church hoped to replace them with meaningful artwork while maintaining natural light and privacy. Our designers studied St. Dominic’s life and selected key moments to portray across twelve hand-painted stained glass windows—each crafted as a “story within a story” that invites reflection and devotion. Remarkably, the building’s architects had incorporated double-pane stained glass pockets decades earlier, enabling our panels to fit seamlessly into the existing frames. The final installation blends traditional craftsmanship with modern clarity, filling the sanctuary with rich, symbolic light that honors the Dominican mission of study, service, and faith.
