Deer Creek Church (Littleton, CO)

Kansas City Stained Glass collaborated with Deer Creek Church in Littleton on a uniquely conceptual stained glass project centered around the five Presbyterian “means of grace”: word, water, bread, wine, and prayer. The church needed a design that addressed harsh morning sunlight while representing these five theological themes without using literal imagery. Our designer, Maria, developed a groundbreaking airbrushed-and-fired painting technique to produce soft, cloud-like transitions symbolizing the meeting of heaven and earth. Gothic structural influences were blended with contemporary abstraction to create a peaceful, contemplative aesthetic. Once explained, the embedded symbolism resonates deeply with congregants, revealing layers of spiritual meaning within the artwork. The installation has been widely praised for its beauty, subtlety, and the way it enriches the worship experience through light, theology, and modern artistry.
