In Evergreen, Colorado, we had the honor of working on a special church restoration project at the renowned Church of the Hills in 2018. This project highlighted our skills in both new fabrication and stunning stained glass artistry. We tackled both functional and aesthetic challenges to create an enchanting worship space.

Utilizing Existing Architectural Elements

One key part of this church restoration was the decision to use the original wooden cross divisions from the window structure. This choice helped maintain the historical integrity of the church while giving new life to its stained glass elements. By carefully removing the original glass and incorporating our designs into the pre-existing steel frames, we kept the overall structure intact, avoiding major removals or alterations.

Creating a Functional Yet Beautiful Stained Glass Window

The main goal of the project was to create a colorful stained glass cross window to enhance the church’s interior. Previously, excessive light streaming through the windows was blinding attendees, affecting their experience. To solve this, we used fairly dark colors for the stained glass to reduce the intense light, ensuring a more comfortable ambiance during services.
